The Rotary Club of Wells celebrated their 28th Charter Anniversary May 3rd, 2013 at the Coastal House in Wells, ME. Included in the celebration was honoring our own Terry Hodskins a Service Above Self Award for her dedication and supply of 18,000 quilts to those receiving Rotaplast Surgery. This award was presented to Terry from Peter Lagarias co-founder of Rotaplast who came from California just to present this award to Terry. |

This evening was full of guests: RI Director-elect Julia Phelps, District Rotaplast Chair, Ann Demeranville and her husband Steve, Past District Governor x2 Marie Williams and her husband Bruce, District Governor Marty Helman, DGE Carolyn Johnson and Past DG Peter Johnson, DGN Lawrence Furbish and his wife Barbara, Assistant Governors Peggy Belanger and Marge Barker. A Paul Harris Fellow was awarded to the late Bridget Burns who was club president in 1997-1998 and received by PDG Marie Williams who was her Governor. New member Karyn Morin was inducted to the Rotary Club of Wells and a special guest appearance from Elton John who sang Happy Birthday to our oldest member Bob Jorgensen who turned 99 that very evening. Terry was awarded from her club two quilts made by the members of the Wells club, a check for a Rotaplast Surgery and a glass bowl engraved with her name with the “Wrap a Smile” logo. A fun filled evening representing Peace Through Service.**
