Unsheltered/Unhouse Committee

Unhoused/Unsheltered Committee: Plans annual or semi-annual shopping trips to Ocean State Job Lot to purchase large quantities of winter and cold-weather clothing and gear: coats, hats, gloves, tarps, etc. Delivers these items to SCCAP which distributes them as needed. Hosts quarterly mitten-making sessions, in partnership with Seacoast Sweet Stitches, to cut out and sew fleece mittens for unhoused. Works with Kids’ Closet Committee to fulfill needs for winter items in the elementary schools.  (Meets on shopping and mitten-making days only)
