Thank You For Your Efforts

I wanted to thank you, Rotarians of D7780, for all you have done and continue to do for our communities as we tirelessly work to assist ME & NH efforts to reduce rates of Covid-19 infections/spread.

You might be asking, Peggy, how are we doing this?  Well, there are soooo many ways :
    • distribution of 225,000 adult masks and 18,000 children’s mask
    • soon to be distributed 4300 N95 masks to 1st responders
    • nearly $5000 in financial support to ME & NH 1st Responders Vaccination Clinics and efforts
    • and most importantly, Rotarians working/volunteering at their local Public Vaccination Clinics in Medical and Non-Medical services.
As more of us acquire the Covid-19 Vaccination, it is important to remember that there remains Covid-Variants.

Please remain strong and vigilant.  Don’t relax your guard——stay on top of the Covid Safety Protocols, better known as the 3 W’s (Wear Your Mask, Watch Your Distance, Wash Your Hands).

Many of you are aiding in public vaccination efforts.  Vaccinating as many Community members as we can, as soon as we can, will be the key to winning this public health battle !!!!

Please inform DG Peggy of your Clubs’ and Members volunteer time and duties.  I look forward to sharing this data/information at D7780’s Virtual District Conference June 4th/5th, 2021………..more details in April Newsletter.

I'd be remiss to not mention that in our lives as Rotarians, March is Water & Sanitation Month.  In my life as an Oncology Nurse, March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Because I care, as not only a nurse, but as your District Governor, I ask you to consider the importance of Cancer Prevention, Early Detection, & Early Intervention/Treatment.  In order for us to be able to achieve our mission of “Service Above Self”, we must consider that self-care is by far and foremost of great importance.
