From Your District Governor – August is Membership Month! By DG Emma Bodwell, Bridgton-Lake Region RC
I hope the Rotary year is off to a great start for you and your club! I’ve loved seeing all the early momentum, whether it’s new member inductions, service projects, or creative meeting formats. Keep sharing what you’re doing — I truly believe we inspire each other when we tell our stories.
August is Membership & New Club Development Month — and that’s more than just a line on the Rotary calendar. It’s a great reminder that membership isn’t about numbers — it’s about people.

RYLA 2025 was a tremendous success! We welcomed over 120 rising high school juniors—the largest group of campers since 2019. Our staff’s impact on these young leaders is already sparking positive change throughout the district.
Several campers have begun launching new Interact Clubs at their schools. We’re inspired by their enthusiasm and initiative.
